The Bothy Self Catering Cottage
This unique self catering cottage is quietly situated within Holmfield, a small private estate incorporating over two acres of communal gardens, where deer can often be seen grazing on the lawns at dawn & dusk.
Just a few minutes walk to the bustling high street of Lyndhurst in one direction and the open forest of Boltons Bench, where cattle and horses roam free in the other.
The Bothy is a two bedroomed cottage with a kitchen/ lounge/dining room with smart television offering Freely, games, books and magazines, along with ample seating on chairs and sofa, complimentary WIFI is available throughout the cottage which is centrally heated.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom a double bed, both with quality linen, duvet & pillows, ample storage and wardrobe.
The bathroom is generous in proportion and has a walk in shower.
The kitchen area is well equipped with an ceramic hob, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
There is parking immediately outside the front door and a garage for cycle storage.
The Bothy equipped to accommodate up to three adults and is available for weekly lets Saturday to Saturday with short breaks on request out of season, all bed linen and towels are provided.
Unfortunately no pets are permitted in the cottage.
Lyndhurst being the capital of the New Forest offers a wealth of dining options, shops two small supermarkets and a wonderfully historic church being the final resting place for Alice Hargreaves (the inspiration for Alice from Alice in Wonderland).
Lyndhurst boasts a fine museum in the main car park just off the high street, where during the summer months you can catch two open top tour buses for a wonderful trip around the New Forest, giving your car a well earned rest, also cycle hire is available within Lyndhurst with routes into the forest starting from the village.
Further afield there are over 40 visitor attractions ranging from the famous Beaulieu motor museum and Palace House, the home of Lord Montagu to various outdoor activities.
During the Pannage season when acorns cover the woodland areas pigs wander freely throughout the forest, whilst cattle, sheep, ponies and deer range throughout the forest 365 days of the year.
Public transport
Lyndhurst can be accessed by car, and bus, with a rail service to and from Brockenhurst and Ashurst New Forest stations, both within 5 miles.

Google maps will lead you to the estate, alternatively drive down Lyndhurst High street, past the Maserati garage, Willow Tree Café and a white cottage to your left called Forest Cottage, immediately after Forest Cottage turn left onto a private graveled drive, the Bothy is then the second cottage to your right.
