Sway is located just four miles from Lymington and is on the southern edge of woodland and heathland, and much of the children’s novel “The Children of the New Forest” is set in the countryside surrounding Sway.
Sway tower is visible from much of the New Forest, being 66 metres tall and built on a private estate as a mausoleum.
Sway village offers a family run country hotel restaurant and three fine public houses, all within a three minute drive of Hunters Croft, it is not possible to walk, as there are no suitable footpaths.
There are many superb pubs and restaurants dotted throughout the New Forest, we shall be happy to suggest options to suit any occasion.
